Athena Nicolaides
My name is Athena and I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. I have over a decade of strength training experience and have decided to turn my passion for strength training into a career. My own personal experience includes struggles with piriformis syndrome, sciatica, hypermobility and pelvic floor dysfunction. Every challenge I faced became a valuable opportunity for me to delve deeper and expand my knowledge.
I have made it my mission to help busy women just like you get started on a journey of improved strength through thoughtfully crafted, fully-customized strength training programs. I developed Strategic Strength because I want to educate women about the importance of prioritizing themselves, as well as make strength training as approachable and convenient as possible.
Maybe you feel like you have time constraints, lack consistency or have limited access to equipment. I have been in all of those situations throughout my journey and can work with you to develop healthy habits that will lead to your success, no matter where you are on your journey.
Aside from being a strength training enthusiast, I am an artist, musician, food lover and mom to two lovely teenage daughters, whom I strive to set a good example for. I love to spend time with my family, paint, travel, play clarinet and flute and bake.

Athena does an amazing job in creating a program that fits your personal needs. I have herniated discs in my back and she is knowledgeable about what exercises would not be good for me and makes adjustments along the way if a movement doesn't feel quite right. It has been so wonderful to work with Athena for the past few months. Her thoughtful approach in developing my workouts resulted in me getting stronger and most importantly, my muscles are getting bigger & starting to show!! She's very encouraging when it comes to pushing me beyond my limits. The workouts are tailored to my goals and we primarily use dumbbell weights while adjusting the workout style/structure every 4 weeks.
